Wild Oregano – Description
Wild oregano is native and is an aromatic herb of the Greek land.
We pick it in the summer months by hand, branch by branch with care and respect so as not to injure the plant, from the mountains of our villages in the Peloponnese.
Then, we dry it in a shady place and store it in a cool and dry place to keep its intense and wonderful aroma.
In addition to its use in food, it also has medicinal properties. It has an antioxidant and bactericidal effect. It is also an anti-inflammatory and expectorant herb. Its dietary antioxidants help protect cells from the effects of free radicals and improve the body’s ability to fight infection.
It also accompanies a wide variety of recipes, due to its fantastic aroma, which reminds everyone of our Mediterranean roots and the village. In addition, you can use it in salad or any dish of your choice. Also, due to its beneficial properties for the human body, you can consume it as a decoction.
