Tzatziki Spices – Description
Tzatziki Mix is an ideal combination of spices and aromatic herbs such as salt, pepper, garlic and dill. It will give a strong aroma and spicy taste to our sauce. Tzatziki is an appetizer of Greek cuisine. It is of Turkish origin and its name is derived from the word cacık. Also, its main ingredient is strained yogurt.
We serve as a table appetizer, mainly accompanying grilled meats. It also goes well with fried potatoes or zucchini. It can be served, spread on bread, and as an appetizer for ouzo or tsipouro. Tzatziki is also a common ingredient in pita souvlaki.
To prepare the tzatziki, we recommend the following steps:
- Wash a cucumber and chop it or rub it on a grater
- Then, drain by pressing the chopped cucumber with your hands, so that the water goes away
- In a bowl or deep dish, add some Extra Virgin Olive Oil, vinegar, yogurt and some of our Spice Mix
- Mix until everything blends together… and our Tzatziki is ready! (If you like, add a little extra olive oil)
- Have fun!
It does not contain preservatives and artificial colors.
