For example, you can try it in any of your recipes, like your salad, or even apply a few drops to the area of your skin where you may be experiencing dry skin or some eczema. The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Olive’s Life of Premium Series with Health Claim, is a superior quality olive oil, which is produced by the green fruits of the olive tree variety “OLYMPIA ARCADIAS”, which have been collected directly by hand. It’s a cold pressed olive oil, solely by mechanical means. It has a strong fruity aroma and a bitter and spicy aftertaste. It is characterized by low acidity (less than 0.3%) and is rich in antioxidants, known as polyphenols (oleacanthal & oleacein). Store in a dark and cool place, away from sunlight.
The levels of oleocanthal and oleacein are higher than the average values (135 and 105 mg/Kg respectively) of the sample included in the international study performed at the University of California, Davis.
The daily consumption of 20 g of the analyzed olive oil provides 25.4 mg of hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol or their derivatives. Olive oils that contain >5 mg per 20 gr belong to the category of oils that protect the blood lipids from oxidative stress according to the Regulation 432/2012 of the European Union. It should be noted that oleocanthal and oleacein present important biological activity and they have been related with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and neuroprotective activity.
